FINALLY! A Healthy-Eating manual….. for Busy People.

Food Facts you need to understand in order to start eating healthier today:
• A simple stop at the local coffee shop can be costing you more that $5
• If it comes in a can, you must use caution… making sure you do this 1 thing
• You can make the same exact pizza, same exact…. With ½ the fat and sodium
• If you don’t eat a 2,000 calorie diet (most don’t), the food label is wrong!
• The term “Reduced sodium” is drastically different from “Low sodium”.

Let’s take a look at what people are saying that got their hands on STOP Killing Yourself:

I now pay more attention to food labels and watch what I buy and what I eat. I am multiplying the sodium intake with the servings, that is incredible, when you start doing that, you can see how a consumer can easily be fooled by food labels. 5lbs down already!”
-Miss Judy M, Theology Instructor, Hazleton PA

I really enjoyed the book, and I think, Jeff, you did a great job in giving people a very informative guide to a healthier way of living. It was practical, to the point, motivating- just the kind of book large numbers of busy people will continue to buy and profit from. Thanks Jeff.
-Jann Rochester, Peachtree City, GA

Hi Jeff, I finished the book last night. It was great, I love how you make everything simple to understand by comparing it to other scenarios so we can relate to them. You know it really makes it a lot easier to stop eating, limit my intake, or choose not to eat it at all when I know and UNDERSTAND why and what I am putting in my mouth is not good for me and how it will affect me. I noticed I don’t crave french fries or cheeseburgers once a week because I realize now what it really is FAT, FAT, FAT! YUK!!! thanks, I trully enjoyed your book and the timing was perfect.

August 27th, 2009 No comments

Reducing sodium can be very simple, provided you know what foods are responsible for containing all the sodium!

That’s MY job…. This video teaches you 8 simple ways to reduce sodium from your diet starting today! Let me know if you have any questions at all by leaving a comment below. Enjoy the video:

Click here to buy STOP Killing Yourself.

Here’s the text version of how to Reduce Sodium from your diet:
1. Look for low sodium products in the grocery store.
2. Learn how to read food labels as it relates to serving sizes and how to multiply sodium mg by the number of true serving sizes. Learn more….
3. Don’t add any salt to your food.
4. Limit the sauces you put on your foods. Most sauces are very high in sodium. Always order sauces on the side so you don’t consume as much.
5. Watch the deli meats. In some instances, just 4oz of meat can contain 800mg sodium. You should only consume 2,400mg in an entire day according to the FDA.
6. Soups are extremely high in sodium. If you are making your own soup, always use low sodium broth. Trust me, there is no difference in taste.
7. Fast food is very high in sodium. One double cheeseburger can contain nearly an entire day’s worth of sodium.
8. I wrote an entire book on how to stop getting deceived by the food industry. This book was written in a grocery store! I took pictures of food labels and offer you plenty of healthy alternatives, a lot of healthy snacking tips, and point out the most common food label deceits that are keeping you from eating healthier.

Reduce Sodium in Your Diet TODAY!

July 26th, 2009 No comments

Interested in reducing sodium in your diet? Not with THIS food….

…..take a very close look at how the numbers listed on the food label can be hindering you from losing weight, causing you to have elevated blood pressure, and even raising your cholesterol.

FACT: Remember that sodium retains water in your body, so you will look and feel “puffy” or bloated if you consume an excess of it.

In addition, sodium may cause high blood pressure; which in turn may lead to heart disease and/or stroke. Take a look:

wings-food-label

Here’s the breakdown:
CALORIES: You should consume 2,000-2,500 calorie per day. 1 dozen of wings has more than 25% of the calories you are allowed to consume.

SODIUM: You should consume 2,300-2,500mg per day. 1 dozen wings has 156% of the daily recommended sodium intake. According to the Center for Disease Control, excess sodium in the diet causes raised blood pressure levels. http://www.cdc.gov/heartdisease/risk_factors.htm

FAT: Only 30% of your total caloric intake should come from fat. 1 dozen wings soak up a whopping 69% of your daily recommended fat intake.

CHOLESTEROL: You should consume less than 300mg each day. 1 dozen wings has 158% of your daily recommended intake. Now you can see why so many people suffer from high cholesterol.

Wings are only 1 food that prove to be dangerous to your health….. STOP Killing Yourself (MUST KNOW food label deceits) discusses many other foods that are dangerous. In addition, you will also learn simple solutions to overcome high-fat, high-salt killer foods by reading this book:

Deadly Food Label Deceits

June 30th, 2009 No comments

Apparently, the food industry doesn’t care if you know how to read food labels or not…

Sounds hard to believe, doesn’t it?

STOP Killing Yourself

stop killling yourself book cover• What will STOP Killing Yourself help me do better?
STOP Killing Yourself teaches you how to avoid food industry deceit so you can:

  • Cook healthier at home
  • Eat healthier when dining out
  • Grocery shop healthier

• How does the book teach all this?
The book teaches you how to interpret food labels and steer clear from deceitful marketing messages so you can make healthier choices that will help you live longer.  Here’s what people are saying:

___________________________
“Having constantly been plagued by weight gain, I feel like I have been liberated by a simple thing like reading product labels. After learning Jeff’s principles, I since lost weight & feel I am on the right track to eating healthier & actually keeping the weight off.” -Brenda Beltrami
______________________________

For example, Jeff’s popular chicken soup label points out exactly how much sodium we eat on a daily basis- prepare to be shocked!

One can has up to 2,400mg of sodium.  Keep in mind: You are only allowed 2,500mg each day. Can you see how simple it can be to double, even triple your recommended daily sodium intake?  The FDA states that excessive sodium in your diet can lead to high blood pressure.

• What’s “the number thing” all about on the back cover?
On the back cover Jeff says “Knowing THIS number can save your life…..”

That number is the calorie in vs. calorie out number.  Jeff explains it in full in the first chapter using a very distinct comparison between 2 busy housewives.  However, their actions are drastically different from the minute they awake-  thus, their body compositions are drastically different.

Mom #1 is chunky, always on a sugar high, and constantly in search of fatty foods because of her lifestyle. Mom #2 is toned and fit, energized from life alone, and teaching her kids daily the importance of healthy habits.

“Hi Jeff, I went shopping today and BOY, are labels deceiving. Soooo much sodium, and multiplying by the portions, it was a much better idea for me to buy trail mix and green tea instead of soda! -Judy Martini
